About Mia

People who know me well, probably weren’t surprised when, I finally took the leap and made my creative dream a reality - with the support of my wonderful husband.I quit my previous job, and since 2014 I’ve been the “backbone” of our family at home, while also pursuing my art on the side.

In May 2018, I opened a small gallery in Vanløse and quickly became part of the local community of small independent shops. The gallery served as both a creative workshop and a space to showcase my own work, paintings and various other pieces.
After six exciting years, I decided to close the gallery in Vanløse for a number of reasons. It felt like the right time to scale things down and focus more on my webshop, where I sell art prints.
It was a natural step to set up an office and gallery space in our basement at home, where I now work daily and show my paintings by appointment.

I’ve always been a creative soul. Being involved in various artistic projects and processes comes naturally to me. As a self-taught artist, I embrace exploration and am never afraid to try new techniques and approaches. My creative process is guided by intuition, ease, and a playful spirit.
When I paint, I enjoy the silence and solitude that allow me to fully immerse myself in my own bubble. In those moments, the world around me fades away, creating a quiet space where creativity can truly speak for itself.
Inspiration is everywhere- in the colors of nature, the feeling of a loved one’s hug, the scent of summer rain, or the lively sounds of a busy restaurant kitchen. I take it all in and translate these experiences onto the canvas.
Everything happening inside me comes out through colors, abstract lines, shapes, and delicate details. I love the little surprises and happy accidents that come from simply going with the flow. It’s hard to put into words - I don’t overthink it, I just create.

My style is abstract, often featuring figurative elements and graphic details. The motifs are decorative and inviting from a distance, yet full of intriguing details when viewed up close.

I find joy in turning simple paint splashes into meaningful pieces that others can enjoy, connect with, or even find inspiration from.
